The Huskies rebounded from back-to-back losses with a commanding 7-0 road victory over the Yamhill-Carlton Tigers on Thursday.

North Marion (2-3-1, 1-1 Oregon West Conference) flashed the offense of last year’s state semifinalist team by picking both their biggest win of the season and their first shutout of 2016.

The win was much needed after North Marion’s 3-1 loss at No. 2 Newport (4-1-1, 1-0-1 OWC) to open the league schedule on Sept. 20. Including the Huskies’ home loss against Central the week before, it was the first time North Marion had lost in two straight games since the 2011 season.

The Huskies look to maintain their momentum this week, scheduled with a home game on Tuesday against Philomath (1-4-1, 0-1-1 OWC) before a trip south to Stayton on Thursday to take on the defending state champion No. 1 Eagles (5-0-1, 2-0 OWC).
